Rain.

I like rain.

Apparently that is strange so my question tonight is. Why do people dislike rain?

Like honestly rain is associated with melancholy and sadness and depression. The saying is, "Stuck under a black cloud" (not sure whether that's an actual saying or whether I'm making that up. Eh who cares, I'll roll with it) not under a blue sky. So why is there such a stigma against rain?

There is no reason for us to reasonably associate rain with sadness or bad things. Rain comes for growth, for harvest. Rain is a reason for us to stay inside and watch the world pass by. Rain is pretty cool if you think about it. I live in Australia where we are famous for sunny skies and sounding very much like the spoilt rich kid I am - It gets a bit boring after a while.

I'm writing this now because I can't get to sleep. And I can't get to sleep because it's too hot and I'm one of these people that have to have the pressure of a blanket or something on me before I fall asleep. And it's just to hot to do that.

So why do we hate rain and hate the cold and hate winter? Is it because of the darkness and the dreariness it brings? Because if so that's pretty stupid.

In the end though I get it. Some people like cold, some people like warm. I'm too tired to be writing cohesive sentences so I'm ending it here with this point. Everyone has there own opinion, there own ideals and there own values. I like rain, you may not.

Rain is just pretty awesome to me. The sound of raindrops on the roof, the sound of droplets hitting the pool. The warmth you get when coming inside from the rain.

I just really like rain.

Hello.

Welcome.

If you're reading this I assume you misspelled shakespeare or somehow you have heard of me (Not sure how you would have). If it is the former and you have misspelled Shakespeare then bravo on you because that is a brilliant achievement because on the average keyboard the 'S' key and the 'J' key have four keys in between them. I applaud you for your typo. And if it is a typo then bravo on you again for actually clicking on this blogger.com page instead of reprimanding your mistake.

It's funny I started this post and now I have no clue how to finish it. Let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Jake and I am a young writer with an english accent. That is how the name Jakespeare originated. I live in Australia and love the rain and stormy days and such melancholy things that others seem to hate.

What about you? What are you like?

Hmm. Mmmm. Yes. Very interesting. Do you know what is so interesting about yourself?

Because I don't. Come on I've never talked to you, never ever ever ever ever. Unless somehow I've met you in real life. And now you're stalking my blog. That I just started. Bravo. As my old pa used to say if you want to stalk someone you need to put some effort into it. Well actually he never said that, not once. So don't stalk people. That's not cool.

Anyways....

This blog is going to be a tangent blog. No-one is probably going to read these, if you do read this then you're officially my favourite blogger. Unless there is two of you. Then I guess we'll have to work our a hunger games style way to find out who's the best follower.

Anyways... (I just did that twice in a row. God I lose track of my thoughts a lot).

This is my venting, I'm going to try and upload a couple of random thoughts and I'd appreciate some love. Okay so in the words of the real shakespeare.
